Wild Atlantic Way
The Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland's first long-distance touring route stretches from the Inishowen Peninsula in Donegal to Kinsale in Co Cork. It’s the world's longest touring route through some of Ireland’s most beautiful places.
Heading out from Cork, a short drive away is Kinsale, the starting point of the Wild Atlantic Way. Beautiful views accompany you all around the Cork coast - enjoy the sandy beaches of Inchydoney, take in the charming West Cork villages of Rosscarbery, Glandore and Ballydehob. Stop off for a wonderful meal on Heir Island or indeed travel out to Clear Island and Sherkin Island. Hike or cycle the wild Sheep's Head peninsula on your way to the markets of Bantry town - the views are stunning, the Wild Atlantic Way so accessible.
This is simply a world class coastal route and not to be missed.
