Historic and Heritage Sites in Clare

The 'Riches of Clare' Exhibition at Clare Museum comprise a large loan of artifacts of Clare provenance from the National Museum of Ireland, the de Valera Museum collection, and artifacts collected locally. It provides an interesting insight into the life of the county - its people, places, treasures.

Bunratty Castle and Folk Park shows life as it was in a by-gone era and plays host to entertaining musical medieval banquets during the Summer months, as does Knappogue Castle in the village of Quin, ten minutes drive from Ennis town.

The Michael Cusack Centre, located in Carron in the Burren, is the restored homestead of Michael Cusack, the founder of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and is well worth a visit. It  is open for the Summer season in April. See the Michael Cusack Centre website.
