John Flynn
The Flynn family business commenced in 1960 with Lawlors Hotel in Waterford. The Flynn brothers have successfully developed what started out as a 26-bedroom property over fifty years ago into a leading family-owned hotel group.
The Flynn group consists of four unique properties in three separate locations, the Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny; Old Ground Hotel, Ennis; and The Park Hotel, Dungarvan.
The Park Hotel was originally owned and operated by their parents. The brothers each had an active role to play in the hotel and this is where their passion in hospitality began and flourished over the years.
In 1995 the Flynn brothers extended their hotel portfolio and purchased the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis.
In 1998, they again expanded their collection with the purchase of The Imperial Hotel, Cork City.
Finally in 2008, the Flynn family purchased the Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny.
With over 50 years of service to the hospitality sector, the Flynn brothers understand the importance of investing in their properties with a very recent €3 million investment across the hotel group, The Flynn brothers believe that the secret of success in the hospitality sector is to never stand still. They are consistently reinvesting in their properties and in their great teams, combining superb service, beautifully appointed rooms, fine dining, and excellent facilities. The €3 million refurbishment is an investment in the future, and ensures that the offering across all Flynn hotels is of the highest standard for every single person who comes through the doors.
